With the economy the way it is, we all know that even applying for jobs is not easy. We try and try, and nothing ever seems to happen. The good news is, we still have a life full of opportunities.

When applying for teaching jobs, we have our resume ready to go, our cover letter all mapped out, and we are just ready to submit it to as many jobs as possible. Some of us don't care how much it pays or where the location is, we just want a job. So before you take the first step, we would like to share with you some important tips when writing your teacher resume.

#1. Don't try to sound like you are the best. People that come off as to harsh or over confident, tend to be thrown in the bottom of the pile. You have to remember, you are applying to be a teacher, not a engineer. You want to come across as likable, trustworthy, and friendly.

#2. Give yourself credit. Giving yourself credit for even the smallest things is what sets people apart. If you have done any community service or special events, write them down. Being active in the community and setting yourself above the rest is what will give you that first interview.

So if you are struggling to write your resume or are having a hard time getting a job, remember that you want to be a teacher. You are good with kids, you know how to treat kids well, and you know how to raise them to be successful.
